Verbum Dei is an international Catholic Family that embraces people from all walks of life who try to build Christian communities of living faith, deep prayer and dynamic service of the Word. It draws its life from the Gospel in order to become a clear expression of the Kingdom of God in today’s society. The Verbum Dei Missionary Family consists of consecrated and lay members. The consecrated members (women, men and married couples) make up the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity, and the lay members are the Lay Missionaries in the Verbum Dei Missionary Family. “I am the vine, you are my branches" Jn 15:5 |

Our firm conviction is that through Baptism we are called to pray, live and proclaim the Gospel. That is why we try to be deeply rooted in a life of prayer. God speaks to us in many ways, especially through the Bible. Each person can converse with God as a person talks to a friend. Prayer is a simple, living and close dialogue with God, which transforms our lives. The Word of God: listened to, assimilated and lived, transmits God’s life to all.
“If you make my word your home...” Jn 8:31 We transmit not only what we say, but rather what we deeply pray and live.(Const. 36) That is why we aim that our preaching is always preceded and accompanied by a witness of life that makes credible and confirms the faith we preach. |
Our mission of ministry of the Word, rightly understood and faithfully proclaimed, transmits God’s life and love. We try to share with others what we have received in prayer, introducing people into a personal relationship with God. We try to teach others how to pray and how to live the Gospel. Essential to our mission is to enable others to do the same we do. |
