Fruits of the SpiritThe fruits of the Spirit are nine: Love, Joy, Peace, Gentleness, Goodness, Kindness, Self-control, Trustfulness and Patience.

After having deepened in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, this week, we want to invite you to thank the Holy Spirit for his gifts. We don’t see the Holy Spirit in body and flesh, as we saw Jesus, but we can see the Holy Spirit through the fruits He makes us experience in our lives.

So, let’s ask Him to help us to understand His fruits, which He wants us to enjoy.

MONDAY: JOY

“You will reveal the path of life to me, give me unbounded joy in your presence, and at your right hand everlasting pleasures.”

(Psalm 16:11 )

“How blessed is anyone who reveres Yahweh, who delights in his commandments! His descendants shall be powerful on earth, the race of the honest shall receive blessings:

... For the honest he shines as a lamp in the dark, generous, tender-hearted, and upright...”

(Psalm 112:1 .4)

TUESDAY: PEACE

“There is no need to worry; but if there is anything you need, pray for it, asking God for it with prayer and thanksgiving, and that peace of God, which is so much greater than we can understand, will guard your hearts and your thoughts, in Christ Jesus.”

(Phil 4:6-7 )

“And may the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it is for this that you were called together as parts of one body. Always be thankful.

Let the message of Christ, in all its richness, find a home with you. Teach each other, and advise each other, in all wisdom. With gratitude in your hearts sing psalms and hymns and inspired songs to God; and never say or do anything except in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

(Col 3:15 )

WEDNESDAY: GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, KINDNESS

“Happy the gentle: they shall have the earth for their heritage.”

(Mt 5:4)

“Brothers, if one of you misbehaves, the more spiritual of you who set him right should do so in a spirit of gentleness, not forgetting that you may be tempted yourselves. You should carry each other's troubles and fulfill the law of Christ.

It is the people who are not important who often make the mistake of thinking that they are. Let each of you examine his own conduct; if you find anything to boast about, it will at least be something of your own, not just something better than your neighbor has. Everyone has his own burden to carry.

People under instruction should always contribute something to the support of the man who is instructing them.

Don't delude yourself into thinking God can be cheated: where a man sows, there he reaps: if he sows in the field of self-indulgence he will get a harvest of corruption out of it; if he sows in the field of the Spirit he will get from it a harvest of eternal life. We must never get tired of doing good because if we don't give up the struggle we shall get our harvest at the proper time.

While we have the chance, we must do good to all, and especially to our brothers in the faith.”

(Gal 6:1-10 )

THURSDAY: SELF-CONTROL

“All you need say is "Yes" if you mean yes, "No" if you mean no; anything more than this comes from the evil one.”

(Mt 5:37)

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me. For anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for my sake will find it. What, then, will a man gain if he wins the whole world and ruins his life? Or what has a man to offer in exchange for his life?”

(Mt 16:24-26)

FRIDAY: TRUSTFULNESS, PATIENCE

“'Yahweh says this: 'A curse on the man who puts his trust in man, who relies on things of flesh, whose heart turns from Yahweh. He is like dry scrub in the wastelands: if good comes, he has no eyes for it, he settles in the parched places of the wilderness, a salt land, uninhabited. '

A blessing on the man who puts his trust in Yahweh, with Yahweh for his hope. He is like a tree by the waterside that thrusts its roots to the stream: when the heat comes it feels no alarm, its foliage stays green; it has no worries in a year of drought, and never ceases to bear fruit.

'The heart is more devious than any other thing, perverse too: who can pierce its secrets?

I, Yahweh, search to the heart, I probe the loins, to give each man what his conduct and his actions deserve.”< ;/p>

(Jer 17:5-10 )
